Dodgers Bring David Freese Back For One Year
6 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers agreed to a one-year deal with corner infielder David Freese on Thursday. Freese had an option for the 2019 season, but instead this one-year deal with take over. Freese was the team's most consistent hitter in the playoffs and hit just under .300 all year in his time with the Pirates and Dodgers. He gives the team flexibility at third and first base and excels at hitting left-handed pitching. For fantasy purposes, however, Freese is merely corner infield depth in deep mixed and NL-only leagues, as the playing time won't be consistent and he won't provide much power.
