Dodgers Agree With A.J. Pollock
6 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers agreed to an undisclosed deal with free-agent outfielder A.J. Pollock on Thursday, according to sources. Pollock is a big addition for the Dodgers even if they already have a somewhat stacked outfield despite trading Yasiel Puig and Matt Kemp this offseason. The 31-year-old helps bring more balance to a left-handed heavy lineup. He brings an enticing mix of power and speed (20-20 potential), but his injury history gives fantasy owners pause. Pollock hasn't played in more than 113 games in a season since 2015 with Arizona. Still, his new home gives him slightly more value as a risk/reward power/speed threat. His addition is bad news for Joc Pederson's playing time, but the Dodgers could now look to trade him.
