Dinelson Lamet Allows Three Runs In Rehab Start
5 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Dinelson Lamet (elbow) allowed three hits and three earned runs while walking one and striking out five in 2 2/3 innings in his first rehab start for High-A Lake Elsinore on Wednesday. He threw 29 of his 52 pitches for strikes. It's the first of a handful of rehab starts for Lamet as he makes his way back from Tommy John surgery. The left-hander could become an option for the Friars rotation before the All-Star break, barring any setbacks. Those in deep mixed leagues can probably take a wait-and-see approach, but remember that Lamet was one of the team's better starters two years ago.
