Devin Williams Earns Shaky Save Thursday
1 year agoMilwaukee Brewers closer Devin Williams wasn't at his best but held onto a one-run lead to earn his 16th save of the season, and third in the last four days, in a 3-2 win over the New York Mets. Williams walked two and allowed a single to load the bases up before striking out Starling Marte to end the game. The master of the Airbender now has a sparkling 1.57 ERA and 1.01 WHIP with 38 strikeouts in 28 ⅔ IP. He now has a solid seven saves in June, a month where the Brewers have played better. If that continues, he should be an elite fantasy option for the rest of the season.
