Derrius Guice Undergoes Surgery Thursday
5 years agoWashington Redskins running back Derrius Guice (knee) underwent surgery to trim a torn meniscus on Thursday, according to sources. Guice is now out indefinitely and is expected to miss the next six to eight weeks. The second-year back missed all of his rookie season with a torn ACL to his other knee. If you don't have an Injured Reserve spot to stash him, you can dump him for better options in redraft leagues. Guice is still a hold in dynasty formats. Adrian Peterson, who was a healthy inactive in Week 1, will now handle early down work for Washington and will start in Week 2 against the Cowboys, where he'll be an RB3/flex. He has a limited ceiling with Chris Thompson catching passes, but AD needs to be scooped up off waivers if his previous owner dropped him after he was inactive in the season opener.
