Derrick Willies Placed On Injured Reserve
6 years agoThe Cleveland Browns placed rookie wide receiver Derrick Willies (collarbone) on Injured Reserve on Saturday after he broke his collarbone in practice on Friday. Breshad Perriman was signed to the active roster in a corresponding move. It's a tough break for Willies, as he made an impact in the team's Week 5 overtime win and was likely to see an increased role with Rashard Higgins out two to four weeks. Rookie Antonio Callaway is the No. 2 behind Jarvis Landry, with rookie Damion Ratley, Rod Streater and Perriman adding depth. Callaway's ceiling goes up a little, but the Browns may still prefer to limit his snaps as he learns.
