Derrick Rose Leads Knicks With 22 Points
3 years agoNew York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose scored a team-high 22 points on 8-for-15 shooting in Wednesday's 112-100 loss to Milwaukee. The Knicks starters ended up having a very poor outing and Rose combined for over half of the team's points (54) with Alec Burks and Immanuel Quickley. The veteran did most of his damage from deep, going 6-for-8 from three-point range, and he also led the team with seven assists. Rose capped off his line with three rebounds, three steals and one block. The 33-year-old has produced a few nice performances this season, but he mostly doesn't see enough action to get to 20 points. He is, however, a very option to lean on for head coach Tom Thibodeau if others are sleepwalking through a game. There won't be any time to sleep in the final matchup of the week on Friday against the Hornets, who are ranked second in pace. Julius Randle, who managed only 16 points against the Bucks, should get going again, and it's a good bounce-back spot for others as well.
