Derek Carr's Free Agency To Be "Long Process"
2 years agoFree-agent quarterback Derek Carr has already visited the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets, but he's expected to take his time to sign with a new team this offseason. "It's gonna be a long process," his brother, David Carr, said. "He wants to do his due diligence and see as many places as he can to get a feel for what the best place for him will be." Derek's visit with the Jets apparently went very well and he hit if off with head coach Robert Saleh. In addition to the Saints and Jets, the Washington Commanders, Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts have a need at the position, among others. Unlike other impending free agents, the 31-year-old signal-caller is on the open market now after the Las Vegas Raiders released him on Feb. 14. His 2023 fantasy value will depend on where he lands, but he could be a valuable high-end QB2.
