Deon Cain Stands Out On Day 1
6 years agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Deon Cain, a sixth-round pick, caught everything thrown his way in practice on Thursday and continues to show his talent. “His talent would probably be a higher round than we got him,” scouting director Morocco Brown offered back in May after Cain went 185th overall in the draft. “That was what was attractive.” The early returns are good and indicate that Cain could see serious snaps in the regular season if he keeps it up. The rookie didn't put up big-time numbers in college, but he has the size and speed combination and could benefit from a weak receiving corps in Indy. Cain could become the team's No. 3 receiver and would be worth a late-round flier in deeper leagues.
