Demaryius Thomas Carted Off
6 years agoHouston Texans wide receiver Demaryius Thomas (leg) was carted off the field in the second half of Week 16 against the Eagles with an apparent leg injury. It has the looks of a substantial injury that will end Thomas' season, but stay tuned for more details on his injury. Thomas was seeing low volume in Houston's offense ever since being traded over from Denver, and he caught three of five targets for 37 yards before departing. If he's out the rest of the year, even more of the workload will fall to DeAndre Hopkins, with Deandre Carter moving into a bigger role. Rookies Vyncint Smith and Keke Coutee will need to step up in the playoffs, too. Coutee has missed the last four games and has played in just six games all year. Rookie tight end Jordan Thomas should see more targets as well.
