Dee Gordon Out Friday, J.P. Crawford At Shortstop
6 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Dee Gordon (wrist) is not in the starting lineup on Friday after being hit by a pitch on Thursday night. Tim Beckham shifts to the keystone, while J.P. Crawford is at shortstop and is hitting seventh against Red Sox left-handed starter Eduardo Rodriguez. Gordon is undergoing a CT scan on Friday, and he could be headed to the injured list, barring the results. Crawford struggled with his time with the Phils the last two years but was hitting well at Triple-A Tacoma and could be in play for those in deeper leagues if he sees extended playing time with Gordon hurt. Mitch Haniger is leadoff off on Friday and is a strong DFS option. Daniel Vogelbach will take a seat in this one.
