Dee Gordon Dealing With Groin Injury
6 years agoUpdating a previous report, Seattle Mariners second baseman Dee Gordon was removed from the game early on Friday afternoon due to groin tightness. The Mariners don't think the injury is serious, so consider Gordon day-to-day for now. The worry is that the groin injury could resurface for a player whose game is largely based on his speed. He was hitless in two plate appearances on Friday but still had a run, stolen base and two walks before departing. Gordon already has five thefts on the year while hitting .281 in 37 plate appearances. Dylan Moore could see some more playing time if Gordon rests some more this weekend.
