Dee Ford May Need Surgery After Season
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers defensive end Dee Ford (knee) might need offseason surgery on his left knee, but he plans to play through it like he did in 2018 when he had a career-high 13 sacks for the Chiefs. Ford played through knee tendinitis, a quadriceps injury and a torn groin last season. He's been questionable for each of the first three games and didn't play at all in the second half in Week 2. The Niners will give Ford some valuable rest during the bye week and into Week 5. Ford will be re-evaluated on a weekly basis as the season goes on. The 28-year-old has three total tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble in three games so far this year and has made the Niners defensive front much more feared.
