David Wright Has Hit In First Triple-A Game
6 years agoNew York Mets third baseman David Wright (shoulder) went 1-for-4 with a single in his first rehab game with Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday, and he played all nine innings at third base. It was his second full game in the last five days. The fact that Wright remains healthy is the biggest takeaway. He last played in a major league game in May of 2016 due to various ailments. The Mets have cautioned that Wright isn't expected to join the big league roster anytime soon, but if he continues to progress he could come up sometime in September. Expecting him to play regularly with the Mets down the stretch and produce fantasy numbers is another thing altogether.
