David Robertson Out For The Year
5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies relief pitcher David Robertson (elbow) will officially miss the rest of the season and is expected to need surgery to fix the flexor tendon in his right elbow. He might also require Tommy John surgery, which would keep him out for all of 2020 as well. Robertson threw only 6 2/3 innings in his first year in Philly before suffering the injury and was a big free-agent bust. He's well off the fantasy radar as a result and might not pitch again in the big leagues until 2021. Hector Neris has become the main ninth-inning option for the Phils this year with Robertson on the shelf.
