David Johnson Optimistic About 2019 Season
5 years agoArizona Cardinals running back David Johnson is optimistic his numbers will improve in 2019 in an offense that is hoping to run "90 or 95 plays a game" under new head coach Kliff Kingsbury. The fifth-year veteran running back had 940 yards rushing and 50 catches for 446 yards and 10 touchdowns last year, but Johnson thinks his production will be similar to 2016 when he had more than 2,000 yards from scrimmage. He thinks it's possible to post 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving in this offense. Johnson is still a first-round RB1 for fantasy owners, but it's a bit optimistic to think that he'll reach 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving in the same season.
