David Freese To Start At First Base Friday
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers infielder David Freese will start at first base in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series on Friday against Brewers left-hander Gio Gonzalez, according to manager Dave Roberts. That means breakout star Max Muncy will start on the bench against the southpaw. Gonzalez may not be long for this game, though, so expect Muncy to get into this ballgame. Freese has six hits (all singles) and an RBI with four strikeouts in 18 career at-bats against Gonzalez. He also hit .321/.387/.489 with five of his 11 homers and 21 RBI in 137 at-bats against lefties in 2018, so Freese will be a sleeper DFS pick in Game 1.
