5 years agoNFL analyst Todd McShay recently spoke with Kansas City Chiefs general manager Brett Veach, who revealed that rookie running back Darwin Thompson is the No. 2 back behind Damien Williams to open the year. Thompson has looked the part this preseason while showcasing his speed and signature contact balance. With Darrel Williams the likely No. 3, Carlos Hyde could be cut this weekend. In an explosive Chiefs offense under mastermind Andy Reid, Thompson could immediately emerge as a fantasy difference-maker and is absolutely worth a late-round pick.
