Darren Waller Plays 100 Percent Of Snaps
5 years agoOakland Raiders tight end Darren Waller was the only skill position player on the team to play 100 percent of the offensive snaps on Monday night in the win over the Broncos. Head coach Jon Gruden said Waller's role didn't grow because Antonio Brown was gone. "We're going to get the ball to Waller. Waller's special," Gruden said. Waller had a team-high eight targets and hauled in seven passes for 70 yards in the season opener. He's physically gifted and creates a lot of mismatches in space. Waller should be one of quarterback Derek Carr's favorite targets all year, giving him TE1 upside most every week.
