5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Dante Pettis (groin) said he's dealing with a minor groin injury. Pettis also said that he needs to play with more urgency and "run routes deliberately with more purpose." Despite being the top receiver on the depth chart, San Fran's coaching staff continues to criticize Pettis' play this preseason, which shouldn't give fantasy owners a vote of confidence in drafts. Still, the 23-year-old has the most upside of the Niners pass-catchers (especially in PPR leagues) and is a firm WR3 target in what could be a more potent offense with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo back.
