Danny Duffy A Candidate For Extended Spring Training
6 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Danny Duffy (shoulder) threw around 10 fastballs off the mound over the weekend and will throw around 25 to 30 pitches (some breaking pitches too) off a mound on Wednesday. He is a candidate to pitch in extended spring training and isn't expected to be ready for the start of the regular season after being shut down in late February with tightness in his left shoulder. The 30-year-old southpaw was 8-12 with a rough 4.88 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 141 K's in 155 innings for KC last year. Leave him to AL-only owners this season.
