5 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Daniel Vogelbach and catcher Omar Narvaez are out of the starting lineup on Friday against Angels left-handed starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs. Jay Bruce is starting at first and is hitting seventh, while Tom Murphy is doing the catching and batting eighth. Dylan Moore is also getting a start at the 6 and is hitting ninth. Shed Long will start on the bench. Bruce has hit well the last week, but he's 7-for-36 (.194) with four of his 13 home runs against lefties. He's a tough sell as a daily selection. Murphy and Moore are both light-hitting players that should be avoided.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
