5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Daniel Poncedeleon struggled mightily again on Saturday, lasting just 2 1/3 innings. He allowed five runs on three hits and four walks. He did not record a strikeout and threw 26 strikes with 22 balls. It was an all-around ugly outing for Poncedeleon, who has looked somewhat overmatched in the rotation of late. He's a candidate to be replaced by anyone the Cardinals can acquire to bolster their rotation before Wednesday's trade deadline.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
