3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals right-hander Daniel Ponce de Leon (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with right shoulder discomfort. Right-hander Seth Elledge was recalled from Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding move. Ponce de Leon left his outing against the Detroit Tigers early on Tuesday with the shoulder discomfort. The 29-year-old has been well off the fantasy radar this year. He started in his first two outings of the year, but since then he has made 15 relief appearances. Overall, Ponce de Leon is sporting an ugly 7.03 ERA and 1.64 WHIP while striking out 17 and walking 13 in 24 1/3 innings pitched. He does have two saves on his ledger this year, but he should continue to go ignored in all formats. It doesn't sound like his injury is serious, but the Cardinals will give him some time to rest up and figure some things out.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
