5 years agoThe Oakland Athletics optioned starting pitcher Daniel Mengden to Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday and recalled reliever Ryan Dull from Las Vegas in a corresponding move. Mengden has struggled with his command and has walked 15 batters in 23 innings in five games and three starts. He has a 5.09 ERA, 19 strikeouts, 15 walks and a 4.03 FIP. Paul Blackburn will be recalled to pitch in one of the games of a doubleheader on Saturday against the Rangers. Blackburn has a 4.55 ERA in 11 starts at Las Vegas and will be a poor streaming option in deeper leagues. Dull has a 10.29 ERA in seven innings over six outings this year in the majors and can be ignored.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
