Daniel Descalso Still Hurting
6 years agoChicago Cubs infielder Daniel Descalso (ankle) remained out of the starting lineup on Monday after he was forced to leave the game on Saturday with soreness in his left ankle. He suffered the injury rounding first base on a single in the first inning, according to MLB.com's Jordan Bastian. The 32-year-old veteran has been seeing a lot of playing time this year at the keystone in the early season, and he's hitting .253/.340/.386 with two home runs and 11 RBI. He offers some position versatility in NL-only leagues but is unlikely to help you out much across most categories. David Bote has started at second base the last two games with Descalso hurting.
