Daniel Descalso Expected To Be Fine For Opening Day
6 years agoChicago Cubs utility man Daniel Descalso (shoulder) had a handful of at-bats and played multiple positions on the infield in a minor league game on Sunday. He'll likely play in one of the two upcoming games against the Red Sox and is expected to be fine for Opening Day. The 32-year-old veteran has proved to be a clutch utility man through the years, and he hit .238 with a career-high 13 home runs and 57 RBI in 138 games for Arizona in 2018. While he might be useful for infield depth in NL-only leagues, Descalso shouldn't be owned in mixed leagues.
