Daniel Castano To Start Wednesday
2 years agoThe Miami Marlins are recalling left-hander Daniel Castano from the minors, and he will start on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Phillies. The 27-year-old previously threw four relief innings for the Marlins this year and didn't allow an earned run on five hits while walking none and striking out two in three appearances. In six outings (five starts) for Triple-A Jacksonville, Castano has a 4.82 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP with 35 strikeouts and 10 walks in 28 innings pitched. He's posted a 3.50 ERA and 1.41 WHIP with 27 K's and 19 walks in 15 major league outings (10 starts) in the last three years with the Fish. He'll be a pretty risky fantasy streamer without much upside in the spot start on Wednesday.
