D'Angelo Russell Scores 22 Points In Thursday's Win
3 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point guard D'Angelo Russell hit four triples and shot 6-for-19 from the field en route to 22 points in Thursday's 115-90 win over San Antonio. He was 6-for-7 at the foul line and delivered five assists with three turnovers while grabbing three rebounds and recording one steal and one block in 31 minutes. Russell's shooting has been ugly this month, but he's still managed 20-plus points in four of the past seven games while averaging 6.4 assists during the stretch. He'll be in a pretty uncomfortable spot next against Memphis, but next week's first matchup against New Orleans looks like a tasty one for Russell. Point guards are scoring 24.3 points per 48 minutes against the Pelicans this season, shooting over 48 percent from the field.
