D'Andre Swift Compared To Josh Jacobs
5 years agoDetroit Lions rookie running back D'Andre Swift will enter the 2020 season behind 2018 second-rounder Kerryon Johnson, but Johnson's injury issues have limited him to just one 100-yard game since October of 2018. Swift can excel as both a runner and receiver out of the backfield, giving Detroit plenty of options to complement Johnson. NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah compared Swift to Raiders running back Josh Jacobs, who had an excellent rookie campaign in 2019. If Johnson's injury woes pop back up again this season, Swift could turn heads as the Lions primary ball carrier. If anything, he makes a worthwhile late-round pick as insurance for those that draft Johnson in redraft leagues.
