Damien Williams, Clyde Edwards-Helaire To Form One-Two Punch
5 years agoKansas City Chiefs general manager Brett Veach said that running back Damien Williams will remain the starter heading into the 2020 season, but first-rounder Clyde Edwards-Helaire will definitely be in the mix in his rookie season. "I mean, both these guys can run and catch and certainly Damien will come in as the starting running back and Clyde will have to come in here and compete for playing time, which we think he’ll do. But I think it will be a one-two punch," Leach said. But Veach also called Edwards-Helaire "a franchise running back" and "a true playmaker," so we'll see how long Williams can hold him off. CEH will be popular in dynasty leagues, but he should also see immediate fantasy value in redraft leagues in 2020, mostly in PPR setups. If you can pair Williams and Edwards-Helaire in single-year drafts, you'll be sitting pretty.
