5 years agoThe Minnesota Vikings are planning to treat the Week 17 game against the Bears a a mini bye week, as they are already locked into the NFC's No. 6 seed. The plan is for running back Dalvin Cook, quarterback Kirk Cousins, linebacker Eric Kendricks and other starters to rest, according to a source. That means that Sean Mannion will likely be under center, with Alexander Mattison and Mike Boone possibly sharing backfield duties. Expect wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen to also be rested in this meaningless game. Olabisi Johnson and Laquon Treadwell could see plenty of run in the passing game.
