Dalvin Cook Could Be Out Through Bye Week
6 years agoMultiple league sources have indicated a belief that Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook (hamstring) will miss the team's next two games against the Saints and Lions and remain out through the Week 10 bye. Cook just hasn't been able to stay healthy so far in his career after missing most of last year after tearing his ACL. He's run 36 times for 98 yards (2.7 yards per carry) in just three games. In his absence, Latavius Murray continues to handle the load in the backfield, with rookies Roc Thomas and Michael Boone spelling him. Murray has come on strong the last two weeks with 39 carries for 224 yards and three touchdowns. He'll be back on the RB2 map against the Saints in Week 8 and for however long Cook remains out.
