5 years agoScott Boras said that his client, free-agent starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel, could be ready to pitch in the big leagues within roughly a week after he signs. Keuchel has thrown seven simulated games of 95 to 104 pitches every five days while languishing on the free-agent market. The left-hander is expected to latch on with a team after next Monday's draft, when he will no longer cost the bidding team draft-pick compensation. Keuchel's fantasy value will depend on his destination, but the ground-ball pitcher should help most teams in mixed leagues the rest of the way. He's owned in just 57 percent of Yahoo leagues at the moment, so consider adding him now if you need rotation help.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
