Dallas Keuchel Not Settling On Open Market
6 years agoFree-agent starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel continues to be available on the open market, but he continues to hold firm for what he thinks is fair value. The 31-year-old is healthy after posting a 3.74 ERA in 200-plus innings for the Astros last season, but teams are hesitant to give up a draft pick for less than a full season of the lefty. Keuchel isn't settling for low-ball offers six weeks into the regular season and has turned down several offers already. It's looking more likely that Keuchel will have to wait until after the June draft to sign with a team so that they won't have to give up a draft pick to land him. While the left-hander isn't a big strikeout guy, he could have plenty of fantasy value the rest of the year if he signs with the right team. He's worth stashing if you need pitching help in the second half.
