Dak Prescott Unlikely To Play In Week 5
2 years agoDallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (thumb) currently isn't able to grip the football "well enough to play" with his surgically repaired right thumb, according to owner Jerry Jones on 105.3 The Fan. It means that it's unlikely that Prescott will make his return in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Rams. The most likely scenario is that the 29-year-old signal-caller will return in Week 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles after he fractured his right thumb in the season opener. Hopefully he'll continue to progress in his recovery this week so that he'll be available to the Cowboys in Week 6. Cooper Rush has gone 3-0 in Prescott's absence, but he'll continue to be nothing more than a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues this weekend against a tough Rams defense.
