D.J. Stewart Expected To Be Fully Healed
5 years agoBaltimore Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said that he expects outfielder D.J. Stewart (ankle) to be fully healed by the time the regular season starts. Stewart had been ramping up toward game action when spring training was canceled after having microfracture surgery on his ankle last fall. Before his injury he hit .238/.317/.381 with four home runs and 15 RBI in 44 games for the Orioles. The good news is that he should be just fine whenever Opening Day is, but he'll have to compete for playing time in Baltimore's outfield, making him a bench option in AL-only leagues.
