6 years agoThe Arizona Diamondbacks avoided salary arbitration with outfielder David Peralta on Friday by signing him to a one-year, $7 million deal, according to a source. Peralta's fantasy value is on the rise after he posted a career year in 2018, hitting .293/.352/.516 with 30 home runs, 87 RBI and 75 runs scored in 560 at-bats. He had never previously exceeded 17 long balls in a season, though, so don't overpay for a guy that could find it difficult to improve on his 2018 numbers. Peralta hits lefties well and makes enough contact to be a top-40 fantasy outfielder, however.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
