Cowboys Won't Make In-Season Coaching Change
6 years agoDallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the team would not be making an in-season coaching change following the team's 28-14 Monday night loss to the Titans. Dallas is now 3-5 on the year and two games back of the NFC East-leading Redskins. Head coach Jason Garrett has gone 70-58 with only two playoff appearances and one playoff win since he took over midway through the 2010 season. "I don't like the way we played tonight," Jones said. "Had we played a lot better tonight and had the loss, then I would be more positive about that. We've got to play better. We're not in anything if we don't play better. We have to play better. We did not play good for whatever reason after that first spurt of energy in the early part of the game. We just didn't play very well," Jones said. Even with the addition of wide receiver Amari Cooper, Dallas' passing offense is seriously lacking, so it'll make it difficult to stay competitive with high-scoring teams.
