Cowboys Want To Extend Dak Prescott Before Season
6 years agoDallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said on ESPN's 103.3 on Monday that the team would like to sign quarterback Dak Prescott to a long-term contract extension before the season starts. The Cowboys want Prescott to be paid fairly, but Jones also said it's "gotta be team-friendly." A new deal for Prescott could be in the average range of $25-28 million. The 25-year-old is heading into his fourth NFL season and had a career-high 3,885 yards, 22 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 2018 while leading Dallas to the postseason. Prescott has a better receiving corps now with Amari Cooper set for a full season in Dallas, but until we see more, Prescott is more of a high-end QB2.
