Cowboys Release Alfred Morris
5 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys released veteran running back Alfred Morris on Saturday, according to a source. The move was made in order to make room on the roster for Ezekiel Elliott, who ended his long contract holdout by signing an extension on Wednesday. Rookie Tony Pollard will be Zeke's direct backup in 2019, but Pollard won't really have any standalone fantasy value unless Elliott goes down with an injury. Morris could latch on with another running back-needy team, but he's unlikely to have any fantasy appeal.
