Cowboys Not Planning To Rest Starters?
6 years agoDallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones seemed adamant that the team wouldn't be resting their starters in Week 17 against the Giants despite clinching the NFC East title with a win over the Buccaneers in Week 16. “Absolutely. We’re all-out. We’ve got work to do. We’ve got some work to do out here, I think we’ll all agree. We don’t want to, if we can, go into the playoff with dangling participles — loose ends," Jones said. Take this with a grain of salt early in the week. With Dallas not in a spot to secure a first-round bye, resting at least some of their players in a meaningless Week 17 game would be the smart call. Players like Ezekiel Elliott, Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper may play, but our guess is they won't be long for the duration of the game. They'll be risky fantasy options if you have something left to play for in fantasy leagues.
