Cowboys Not Negotiating With Amari Cooper
5 years agoDallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said "there hasn't been a lot of negotiations" toward a contract extension for wide receiver Amari Cooper. DallasCowboys.com's David Helman speculates that Cooper isn't in a rush to reach an extension with Falcons wideout Julio Jones about to change the market in the near future. Cooper's move from Oakland to Dallas was great for him, as he helped his fantasy owners in the second half of the season. He enters 2019 as the No. 1 wideout on the team, but a foot injury that slowed him in training camp and the preseason has us wondering if he'll be effective out of the gates. In Week 1 against the Giants, Cooper should be in lineups as a WR2.
