Cowboys Looking Into Amari Cooper
6 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys have been doing their research on Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper as the Oct. 30 trade deadline approaches, according to league sources. The Raiders want a first-round pick for Cooper and the Cowboys have been calling around to get background information on Cooper. The Redskins and Colts have also made inquiries on Cooper, according to a league source. Dallas is one of the most receiver-needy teams in the NFL this year, so it would not be a surprise if they pulled the trigger, and owner Jerry Jones has made similar trades in the past. Cooper has just 22 catches for 280 yards and a touchdown in the first six games of the year, and he's coming off a concussion in Week 6. While a change of scenery would be good for Cooper, a move to Dallas probably wouldn't suddenly pull him out of boom-or-bust WR3 territory that he's currently in. If Cooper is traded, Jordy Nelson and Martavis Bryant would have higher fantasy floors.
