Cowboys Discussing Extension With Amari Cooper
6 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys are having active discussions on a contract extension for wide receiver Amari Cooper, according to executive vice president Stephen Jones. Cooper had two 1,000-yard seasons in his first two years with the Raiders and then disappeared and was traded to Dallas for a first-round pick last year. The 24-year-old was a godsend for a Dallas team in serious need of receiver help, and he finished with 53 catches for 725 yards and six touchdowns in just nine games for the Cowboys. The former fourth overall pick in 2015 will be a popular fantasy pick in the early rounds of drafts after he excelled in his new home.
