Cowboys, Dak Prescott Have Had Positive Talks
5 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott have spoken in the last two weeks about a long-term contract extension, and a source described the talks as "very positive." It's unknown if Prescott will take part in the start of the virtual offseason program that starts on Monday, but he's not expected to without a new deal. The two sides have until July 15 to work something out or else Prescott will be playing the 2020 season under the franchise tag. The 26-year-old had a career year in 2019, throwing for 4,902 yards, 30 touchdowns and only 11 interceptions. Regardless of his contract situation, fantasy owners should feel comfortable selecting him as a high-end QB1 next season.
