Cowboys Bring In CeeDee Lamb With First-Round Pick
5 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys selected Oklahoma wide receiver Ceedee Lamb with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft on Thursday. The Cowboys probably needed a defensive player more, but the Cowboys just couldn't pass on Lamb as one of the top three wideout prospects in this year's draft. Quarterback Dak Prescott gets another weapon alongside Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup. Lamb was a big-play wideout almost every time he touched the ball in college, and he's great at contested catches. Randall Cobb's departure in free agency could allow Lamb to line up in the slot, but he can also make plays outside. Prescott becomes more attractive as a QB1, while Lamb will likely be a boom/bust yard-after-the-catch fantasy wideout in his rookie year. Gallup's fantasy ceiling will take a hit with this addition.
