Corey Seager Expects To Be Ready For Next Season
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager (elbow, hip) insists he'll be ready to play shortstop in 2019. He underwent Tommy John surgery on May 6 and is walking without crutches a month after having arthroscopic surgery to fix a torn left hip labrum and shave a misshaped bone. Seager said he'll start a throwing program early next month, which will provide him six months before the 2019 season begins. The 24-year-old managed to play in just 26 games this year before being ruled out for the season. He admitted he's been playing through hip pain since the middle of last year, too. A healthy Seager should be drafted as an elite fantasy shortstop in 2019.
