Corey Kluber Has Non-Displaced Fracture
6 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Corey Kluber (elbow) suffered a non-displaced fracture of his right ulna bone after he was hit by a line drive in his right elbow in his start on Wednesday and forced to leave the game. Kluber may not need surgery, but he'll surely miss considerable time for the Indians and fantasy owners. The 33-year-old just hasn't been himself early on in 2019. He allowed eight hits and three earned runs with no walks and three strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings on Wednesday before departing. He's now sporting an un-Kluber-like 5.80 ERA with a 9.59 K/9 in 35 2/3 innings over seven starts. His fantasy owners can only hope he'll return and be more successful when his right elbow heals up.
