6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers pitcher Corbin Burnes, who was called up from the minors on Wednesday, will pitch out of the bullpen for the time being. Manager Craig Counsell said the thinking with Burnes has changed after the team signed left-hander Gio Gonzalez to help out their rotation. Burnes gave up three hits and three earned runs in two innings of relief for the loss on Wednesday against the Rockies. While he does have a 10.98 K/9 in 2019, he's also allowed 11 long balls and 33 hits over 19 2/3 innings (four starts). The hard-throwing righty has strikeout upside, but he won't be of much fantasy use in a relief role.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
